National Suicide Prevention Lifeline - (1-800-273-TALK)

http://www.befrienders.org- Befrienders International, Finds resources in your country. Information on what to do if you are suicidal. As well as information on what to do if a friend is suicidal and the warning signs of suicide. Also, most importantly, phone numbers to crisis centers and hotlines and e-mail addresses of individuals ready to listen and to do what they can to help.

http://www.samaritans.org - The Samaritans, A charity based in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. It provides completely confidential emotional support to those who are suicidal and those who are in despair. This can be done through e-mail, the phone, snail mail or face-to-face. Publications are also available.

A 24 hour, bilingual referral line for counseling, lawyers and support for battered women and their children.

Domestic Violence Hotline (US/Canada) - 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or  1-800-787-3224 (TTY)

A national, toll-free, 24-hour hotline for victims of domestic violence and those who know of someone who is experiencing domestic violence. Provides crisis intervention, information about domestic violence and referrals to local service providors and agencies. Also serves the United States.

Safe Horizon Hotline (US) - 1-800-621-HOPE (4673) or 1-866-604-5350       (TDD)

 Free, 24-hour helpline for victims of domestic violence. Completely confidential. Provides advice, information and temporary refuge for women threatened by emotional and physical abuse

Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) - 1-800-656-HOPE   

The only national hotline for victims of sexual assault. Offers free, confidential counseling 24 hours a day. It connects the caller to the number of their local rape crisis center.
