About Me
My name is Kimia Paridehpour and I am a undergrad college student studying Psychology with an interest in specializing in domestic violence and rape. My interest in psychology peeked in the middle of high school and since then it has only grown. I've always been interested in women's studies, gender equality, women empowerment, and helping out the women in my community. Alongside women's studies classes, I've volunteered at a local rehabilitation center for women and attend conferences for women's empowerment and success. It was after these experiences that I realized my two passions could be connected.
I will be honest and tell you now that I have personally not faced any form of domestic violence or rape, nor do I claim that my advice or posts suggest that I have. However I have had very close friends go through this and base my advice off of how I helped her get through her situation and my personal research/training.
It is my wish that this blog helps women who have gone through these experiences come together and be able to form a community where they feel safe and understood. Together I know we can accomplish this.
This blog is under construction as of November 2014, but will be fully ready hopefully by Spring 2015
